So, you want to explore the island of Molokini, but getting to a tour departure location from your West Maui accommodations has proved too much of a hassle. A lot of visitors in this area have run into the same conundrum, and Molokini is one of the most interesting natural features accessible from Maui, so it's a real shame to miss. Fortunately, this is one adventure that you don't have to skip out on due to inconvenience.
We will take you on an exciting Molokini snorkel tour that departs from the scenic Lahaina Harbor. In fact, we're the only tour company that does! That's because we want to ensure that the best Maui adventures are in reach for our guests. If you haven't been out to Molokini yet, we strongly recommend it, assuming you're interested in snorkeling the vibrant coral reefs that reside there.
This ancient volcanic caldera has eroded down to a tiny size, compared to its neighbors, and there are no beaches at the foot of its sheer cliffs. That's one of the reasons why it's counted among the clearest snorkel/dive sites in the world. The crescent shape of the island also helps protect the reefs and the snorkelers from wind and wave action, which adds another layer of comfort and enjoyment to the experience.
Molokini is situated two miles offshore from South Maui. We'll take you there straight from Lahaina Harbor so you can spend more time on the water, and less time on the road. You'll be aboard the Lahaina Princess, a spacious 65' double-deck adventure yacht that could accommodate up to 99 passengers if we didn't cap it at 80. We will depart at 7am and return around 1:30pm. On your trip, we'll provide you with lunch, which will consist of a deli style sandwich buffet, where you can put it together just how you like it. We have assorted bread, meat, cheese and toppings, with sides like potato salad, tropical fruit, chips, cookies and unlimited soda and juice.
When it comes time to get in the water, we provide premium snorkel equipment and will instruct you on how to use it. We also carry flotation devices and boogie boards. As for the things you should bring with you, we recommend a towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat and whatever else you want to use to cover your skin for the hours that you'll be out in the sun. Last but not least, you might want to bring cash for souvenirs. The proceeds go directly to a few of Hawaii's cutting edge marine scientists, whose research yields exciting new discoveries regularly.
If you have any questions or need assistance with your Molokini snorkel tour booking, you'll find our contact information at the bottom of the page. We look forward to seeing you onboard! Mahalo!
